The "Midis de la Microfinance et de l'inclusion financière" are conferences on issues facing the inclusive finance industry and developments within it. The latest in the series, organised by Luxembourg-based microfinance support agency, ADA (Appui au Développement Autonome), on the subject of inclusive finance and the fight against terrorism, was held at Banque de Luxembourg.

Risk management applied to African microfinance institutions

The discussion between Azaratou Sondo, Deputy Director General in charge of the Network at the Faîtière des Caisses Populaires du Burkina (FCPB) – Burkina Faso’s biggest microfinance institution – and Sundhevy Debrand, Member of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Compliance Officers (ALCO), was moderated by Luc Vandeweerd, Member of the Board of Directors of ADA.

The “Midi” enabled the Luxembourg public to benefit from the speakers’ experience of regulations in Luxembourg, a heavily regulated country, as well as at grassroots level in Burkina Faso.
