Banque de Luxembourg and Maison Moderne have published a book telling the stories of ten family businesses in Luxembourg.

The stories show how the country’s history has influenced the development of the businesses, as well as illustrating how these companies, and many others, have left their mark on the life and evolution of the Grand Duchy. Each one of these families has contributed its own page to the story of Luxembourg. Click below to discover their video profiles.

The Clasen family, Bernard-Massard

(video in French)

“The scent of grapes wafts through the air, and rows of big, closely-stacked oak barrels form a maze of pathways. Twists and turns that invite you to get lost as you wander, like father and son Hubert and Antoine Clasen, who manage the Bernard-Massard cellars. This family story reaches back over five generations. But then, creating wines is a matter of time. It is only over time that a wine proves itself and earns its pedigree. The vine has its years of plenty and its less bountiful times. The weather also plays its role... For anyone who loves to talk about wine, time is always part of the conversation.”
